Detailed description of South Lakes Golf Course

South Lakes Golf Course first opened for play in 1989. The course was designed by Oklahoma native Randy Heckenkemper, opened in 1989 and was instantly one of the most popular area courses featuring country club quality conditions. In addition to its fun and exciting 18 hole layout there is a driving range, putting green and chipping green.

With seven (7) scenic ponds, there is plenty of opportunity for nail biting shots. The course is located directly beneath the south approach of Jenks-Riverside Airport providing golfers who are also air plane an occassinal opportunity to watch airplanes.

The South Lakes Golf Course championship layout is both fun and exciting for golfers of every skill level. Yardage from the back tees measures 6413 yards with a course rating of 70.7 and a slope of 119. The middle tees measure 5839 yards with a rating of 67.9 and slope is 114. The front tee measurement is 5242 yards and is rated 71.0 with a slope of 117.
